RULES AND REGULATIONS


General College Rules And Regulations


1. Every student must obtain on admission, his Identity Card which must have his/her photograph duly attested and presents it for inspection on demand. Every student will have to submit three copies of his/ her latest photograph of passport size at the time of admission. Student will not be allowed to enter the premises without ID Card.

2.Students must attend lectures and tutorials regularly according to the time table on all working days of the college. Student must not abstain themselves from lectures, tutorial and examinations without prior permission of the Principal. Students are warned that, if their attendance at lectures and tutorials are unsatisfactory, their names would not be continued on the college rolls.

3.In case of illness a student must apply for leave by post as soon as possible, with the Doctor’s certificate. He/She must personally report to the Principal.

4.Student must not attend classes other than their own, without the permission of the Principal.

5. Student must not loiter in the college premises while the classes are going on.

6. Smoking or intakes of any form of Drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited in the college premises and stern action would be taken against the students, who participate in such things.

7. Students shall do nothing either inside or outside the college that will in any way interfere with its orderly administration and discipline. Reputation of the college must be maintained.

8. No Society or Association shall be formed in the college and no person would be invited to address a meeting without the prior permission of the Principal and the Management.

9. No student shall collect any money or contribution for picnic, trip, an educational visit to places get – together, study notes, charity or any other activity without the prior sanction of the Principal and the Management.

10. In College debates and other meetings, the chair must be taken by a responsible person approved by the Principal and the subject of debate must have the prior approval of the Principal and the Management.

11.No student will be allowed to take active part in current politics or any union.

12. No student shall communicate any information or write about matters dealing with the college administration to the press, without prior intimation and information of the management.

13. Students are expected to take proper care of College property and to help in keeping the premises neat and clean. Doing damage to the property of the College, e.g., disfiguring walls, doors, fitting, or breaking furniture, etc. is a breach of discipline and the guilty will be duly punished.

14. Student should not leave their books, valuable and other belongings in the class rooms.

15. The College is not responsible for the loss of property of the students.

16. Students applying for certificates, testimonials etc. and those requiring the Principal’s signature on any kind of documents or application should first contact the College office. No papers should be brought by students directly to the Principal for his/her signature.

17. Student requiring certificates or testimonials in regard to their performance and progress in Subject should apply to the College office.

18. If, for any reason, the continuance of a student in the College is in the opinion of the Principal, detrimental in the best interest of the College, the Principal may ask such student to leave the College without assigning any reason thereof.

19. Students joining the college are bound by the rules and regulations of the College.

20. Insubordination and harsh language or misconduct on the part of a student is sufficient reason for his suspension or dismissal.

21. All College activities are organized under the guidance and supervision of the Principal and Professors in-charge appointed by the Principal with prior permission of the Management.

22. Students must not associate themselves with any activity not authorized by the Principal. Serious view will be taken of students found organizing or participating in such unauthorized activities.

23. Students using unfair means at examination will not be readmitted to the College. Parents should also note this.

24. Notice Board: It is the responsibility of the students to read the Notice Board regularly for important announcements and notices made by the College office from time to time. They will not be excused or be given any concession on ground of ignorance.

25. Matters not covered by the existing rules will rest at the absolute discretion of the Principal and the Management.

26. Attendance for all the exams that is internal and external is compulsory.

27. Students shall keep the science labs clean all the times. Practical and tutorials in Science shall be compulsory. Projects and tutorials should be submitted in time.

28. NO MOBILE IN THE CLASS ROOM - Use of cell phones in any form in the class room while in session is strictly prohibited. On breach of this discipline, the cell-phone holder will be liable for penalty of Rs. 500/- . It should be used only in case of emergency.

29. NO RAGGING - Ragging is a crime. Students and parents are informed that ragging is strictly banned & shall be considered as a serious offence which will attract severe punishment or expulsion from the College.

30. FEES ONCE PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IN ANY CASE.


Committees of The College :


1. Examination Committee: The Principal in the College constitute the Examination Committee consisting of teachers, one among them is designated as the Chairperson of the committee. This committee is responsible for the smooth conduct of examination and ensures fair and timely declaration of the result.

2. Unfair Means Inquiry Committee: This Committee comprise of teachers appointed by the Principals, out of which one among them is designed as the Chairperson. All cases of unfair means practiced during the examination are referred to this Committee to investigate the nature of referred and recommend the quantum of punishment thereof to the Principal.

3. Attendance Committee: Monthly computerized attendance sheets of the defaulters are displayed on the Notice Boards regularly. The Attendance Committee of the college intimates the parents of the defaulting students, in each term.

4. Discipline Committee: It consists of senior teachers. It looks into acts of indiscipline among the students and is empowered to make recommendation, in regard punitive action is taken by the Principal. This committee is also empowered to recommend the norms of detention of students to the Principal.
